Donovan is thrilled to announce she’ll be in the world premiere of Step Mom, Step Mom, Step Mom at InterAct Theatre Co! This show runs Jan 26 - Feb 18, and tickets can be bought here!


December 2023

This winter, Donovan will be revisiting the role of Janine Saaed in a reading of R. Eric Thomas’ play An Army of Lovers! The reading will be directed by Kash Goins and presented at PlayPenn. More to come!

Donovan was part of a photo series in association with Philadelphia Theatre Company’s production of Macbeth in Stride. Conceived by ethnographer Sabriaya Shipley and PTC’s Director of Education Anjoli Santiago, this interactive digital photo series was created to highlight Black women artists in Philadelphia. August 2023

Yay to a month for new plays! Donovan will be returning to Philadelphia Women’s Theatre Festival to perform in a reading of LM Feldman’s play SCRIBE, or the Sisters Milton, or Elegy for the Unwritten on August 3rd (her birthday!) at 7pm. More info here!

July 2023

C’mon summer theatre and a season of returns! This July, Donovan can be found back at Shakespeare in Clark Park, where she will be playing Eglamour in the musical adaptation Two Gentlemen of Verona. The show, which will bring free Shakespeare to thousands of audience members in West Philly, will be performed July 26-30!

Donovan truly cannot wait to also return to PlayPenn this summer! She will be acting in a reading of the play Unprecedented, which will be performed Saturday July 15th at 2pm at the Drake.


June 2023

Donovan is so excited to return as an actor at the Arden, where she will be doing a workshop of the Arden’s upcoming show Ladysitting, directed by Zuhairah McGill. Donovan will be playing the Daughters track.

You can also catch her performing the role of East in All Over, a one-act play with music, in a reading for First World Theatre Ensemble, also directed by Zuhairah. The reading will be performed in Delaware. More info to come!


May 2023

Donovan has finished shooting principal photography for an episode of “Stori Strong,” an upcoming children’s webseries about a young girl with two moms. She’s looking forward to it being released sometime this fall!

She will also be in a reading of R. Eric Thomas’ play Humble Yourself on Saturday May 20th at 11am at the Drake! For more info, check this out.

Donovan will be directing for Philadelphia Young Playwrights’ Play Development Series, in collaboration with World Cafe Live! The reading will happen on April 22 at 12pm. More info to come!


March 2023

Donovan has wrapped filming an episode of Investigation Discovery’s new TV show Good Cop, Bad Cop. She will be playing the role of Jeanette, the sister of a man wrongfully killed due to gun violence. More info coming soon!


February 2023

Donovan is so excited to be able to work for the first time with PAPA, the Philadelphia Asian Performing Artists in a reading of Priyanka Shetty’s new play Marjorie Is Dead. December 2022

PYP has been one of Donovan’s favorite artistic havens she’s had the privilege to work for as both an actor and educator, and she is overjoyed to now be bringing her directing skills to this year’s Plays in Process festival. Donovan will be directing the festival’s monologues, which will premiere with two additional short plays at the Louis Bluver Theatre at the Drake with evening performances on December 15-17, as well as a matinee on December 17. November 2022

Catch Donovan in a staged reading of the new play Hope Town presented by New Light Theatre. The play deals with the precarious alliance between the health care system and unhoused individuals. Admission is free, and donations will be accepted for the Housing Alliance of Delaware. One night only so don’t miss it: November 28th at 7:30pm!


October 2022

Yay for reuniting! Donovan cannot wait to reunite with the team at Jouska Playworks for their new play showcase. She will be featured in Nikki Brake-Silla’s ReWombed on October 16th at 3pm at the Drake. Tickets are pay-what-you-can but reserve a spot here!

It’s spooky season! Donovan will be featured in Tiny Dynamite’s Oktoberfest, an evening of comedic scenes, short stories, and - her personal favorite - TWEETS, all surrounding the magic of fall. Come join at 6:30pm in Society Hill at the Physick House garden from September 30 - October 2!


July 2022

Donovan is absolutely over-the-moon out-of-this-world excited to be making her Shakespeare in Clark Park debut as Maria/Ensemble in the productions of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew and Fletcher’s The Tamer Tamed, performed July 27-31. The Taming! has been nominated for a 2023 Barrymore Award for Outstanding Outdoor Production.

Time to brush off that good ol’ Irish dialect! Donovan will be performing a series of monologues and scenes with other Irish Heritage Theatre returning actors in “An Evening of Storytelling” on June 17th and 18th at 7pm at Plays & Players.
